2006

· Employed as Building and Commercial Manager at Parr Street Studios.  In addition to the international studio complex, the building houses a 12-room hotel, restaurant and several business tenants.

2005

· Studied for NVQ-level 4 in Management. Project placement resulted in Senior Rap – which earned prime time coverage from BBC and ITV television, all local radio and press and was commended by the then Cabinet Minister for Care (Liam Byrne).

20032007

· Established, hosted and musically directed Liverpool Jazz Club (ran every Monday for three and a half years at Metro, Victoria Street.

· Established, hosted and musically directed several other regular jazz nights (Lark Lane, Woolton Village, Beaufort Hotel).

· Regular contributor to BBC Radio Merseyside: morning newspaper reviews (on breakfast show); regular musical guest; produced several shows; was commissioned to arrange and perform “Liverpool Songs” for official opening of new BBC building, February 2007.

· Produced/hosted/musically-directed “Caroloke“ variety shows for Liverpool Culture Company (Liverpool City Council). Five shows in 2004 and four shows in 2005.

· Journalist, Web Editor, Radio Producer/Host for NRK (Norwegian national public broadcaster).

1992-2000 Oslo

Own studios/Radio 1, Norge/Radio Tango

· Ran own studios in central Oslo (writing/producing jingles, commercials, radio shows, TV music, voice-overs and more. 

· Produced over 2000 radio commercials and jingles for clients ranging from Coca Cola (5 years) to Norway’s then Prime Minister (produced the party’s radio campaign).

· 5 years at Radio 1 as producer.  Ran studio, wrote and produced jingles, commercials, edited broadcast material, etc.  1993-1997.

· 1 year running production studio at Radio Tango. 1992.

 

1989–1991      Oslo

Head of Promotion

PolyGram A/S (now Universal Records). Ran promotion department and established weekly media magazine, “Hot News”.

 Established Scandinavia’s first official radio airplay list, “Radio Topp 20” (now evolved into “Hit 40”).

 Three years as “right-hand man” for punk-founder, Malcolm McLaren (discovered Annabella, lead singer for hit band Bow Wow Wow).

· JAZZ SCENE:  The Jazz Scene radio show was networked to over 60 stations every week including Moscow’s Radio Maximum.  The extensive and non-commercial “Jazz Scene” website was established in 1992.  It currently features over 60 hours of my interviews with celebrated jazz artists. <http://www.jazzscene.no>

· ADVERTISING:  Was part of New York “Clio” gold-winning team for “EMS Posten” cinema/TV commercial (as a free-lancer for the New Deal agency). 

· VOICE-OVERS: Voiced the international Nobel Peace Prize ceremony in 1999, ‘Medicin Sans Frontiers’ – TV worldwide).  Have voiced over 100 documentary, training and promotional films.

· INTERVIEWED many of the world’s leading jazz artists.  Non-jazz interviews include six former Norwegian Prime Ministers and the then UN Secretary General, Boutros Boutros-Ghali (in 1995 at the UN in New York).

· COLUMNIST: Wrote weekly, national newspaper column (Jazz Scene) for three years (Klassekampen, Norway).  Also written several articles, CD and book reviews for magazines.

· LANGUAGES: I speak fluent Norwegian and have a decent understanding of the other Scandinavian languages.  I have a GCSE (A*) in Italian.

· I hold Norwegian and British press cards and have CRB clearance.  I have an ECDL (computer competence certificate) and high-level Apple Macintosh competency.  I am a car owner with a clean driving license.
